Cello....Violan...Viola

Hello Everyone! I hope all is well! I am planning on doing band/strings, so I need to choose an instrument. I want to choose either cello, viola, or violin. I don't really know the difference except their sizes. I am confused about which one to choose- I have a high chance of going with cello. Below are pictures of the three instruments.  (Biggest one is cello, medium size is viola, and the smallest is violin. (the thing next to the violin is what you use to play the instrument.)

    I think you should with viola - not a lot of people play the viola, so you're more likely to get a better spot in middle school if you decide to keep playing.
